Establishes definitions for official language policy and agency obligations.
English is the official language of the United States. Executive Order 13166 (2000) providing language access guidance is revoked but does not require changes to existing agency services; agencies retain discretion to provide documents and services in other languages as they deem appropriate. Attorney General shall rescind policy guidance issued under the revoked order and provide updated guidance.
Standard boilerplate: preserves existing agency authority, conditions the order on appropriations, and creates no enforceable private rights.
