Sec. 1 Purpose
Addresses pharmaceutical supply chain resilience by utilizing the Strategic National Stockpile to maintain supplies of critical active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished drugs.
Sec. 2 Filling the SAPIR with APIs for the Most Critical Medicines
Directs ASPR to develop a list of 26 critical drugs and source or manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients to fill the Strategic National Stockpile repository within specified timelines using available funding.
Sec. 3 Ensuring SAPIR Resilience
Requires ASPR to update its essential medicines list and coordinate with agencies to maintain pharmaceutical supply chain capabilities for national security.
